This means that a totally healthy human body functioning the way it was designed by our creator will never get sick or experience sickness and disease. Why is this so? The human body is self-regulating and self-repairing. At this very minute your body is performing a multitude of complex functions all designed to keep us well and free of disease. We do nothing to make this happen. It just happens automatically. Then why and how then do we acquire sickness and disease?

As you may have guessed it is a complex answer, but a large part of it is fully within our control.  How do we do it? How do we stay healthy and free from sickness and disease?

The following 5 Lifestyle changes are a GIANT step in the right direction and are absolutely required for long-term health:

1.  Hydration

  • Minimum of half your body weight in ounces of pure water. Remember  that your lungs require approx. 2 liters (64 oz) of pure water to  produce the moisture necessary to breathe.

2. Sleep

  • Research indicates that we require a minimum of 5 continuous hours of sleep every night.

3. Exercise

  • Take a brisk walk for 20-30 minutes per day. Your arms and legs are  the second pump for the heart. Exercise increases cardiovascular health  thus supporting the entire circulatory tree.

4. Nourishment

  • Clean, organic, toxin free nutrition, but Nourishment is more than nutrition. Every sense organ (sight, sound,  smell, taste and touch) causes a sensory input to your body and creates  a chemical reaction to the sensory input. For example, you don’t have  to see, smell, taste or touch a lemon to have a salivary reaction. Just  simply by thinking about tasting the lemon causes your mouth to water.  Thus, along with good nutrition, managing  your sensory input is  necessary for optimal health.

4. Ridding and Keeping the Body Free of Toxins 

  • Toxins are in our food, water, air and are generally in our everyday environment i.e., cell phones, microwaves, radiation from various sources etc. There are 5 simple ways that all of us can detox our bodies regularly.
    1. Resting the organs through fasting.
    2. Breath (inhale and exhale) deeply to allow oxygen to circulate more completely through your body while also eliminating carbon dioxide through the exhale.
    3. Eliminate foods that inhibit the liver from doing its function – driving toxins from the body.
    4. Promoting elimination of toxins through the intestines (pooping), kidneys (urinating)  and skin (sweating).
    5. Dry-brush your skin and feet.

5. Mental State of Happiness and Wellbeing

  • This begins with whether or not you are at peace with yourself and continues with your perception of your worth to society and to others.

Peace is achieved when…

    • You can be fully satisfied with where you are,
    • Understanding that you’re eternally evolving.
    • Appreciating yourself and accepting that you are a never-ending and always evolving Being.
    • To stand in that delicate balance of being optimistic about your future, without regretting the past and fully accepting the present;
    • Being in love and satisfied with who, what, where, and how you are “Being.”

The greatest gift to others is achieved when…

    • You create your own happiness;
    • Fully creating the state of joy, happiness or appreciation where you are connected to the pure, positive energy source that is truly who you are.
    • Total acceptance with an ever expanding universe where all forms of expression is allowed.
    • To understand that we came here to experience the infinite possibilities that are open to us and sharing those possibilities with others.

Sickness and Disease can occur when any one of the above 5 Lifestyle Changes are consistently compromised.

Well, first of all, when we get sick we must acknowledge that our sickness is cause by something in our life that is blocking our bodies ability to repair itself.  Remember the body is self regulating and self repairing. All too often, for example, when we get a headache we immediately take an aspirin.

“Well nobody with a headache has a deficiency of aspirin, just like nobody with cancer is suffering from a deficiency of chemotherapy”.

Our “mainstream” routine treatment and therapies for almost everything does nothing to change the underlying cause of the disease or medical problem. Whether it’s a headache or cancer the “mainstream” approach is the same, and applying these therapies might take away the pain or kill some cancer cells, but it really doesn’t begin to address the real underlying problem. In many cancer patients as well as people with a headache, they’re burdened with toxins, which are interfering with their bodies’ normal biochemistry. They typically have an abundance of nutrient deficiencies – fish oil, zinc, magnesium, vitamin E, etc., including not incorporating the 5 Lifestyle Changes.
